CHILDREN’S THEATRE (GAFTY)
What happens when a third level book fairy tries to help a failing new book store by using a spell that has never been cast before? Confusion and comedy ensues as familiar book characters come to life in the GAFTY production How to Enchant a Bookshop, written by Todd Wallinger, and directed by Tory Ford. Come see Cinderella, Tom Sawyer, Sir Lancelot, Dorothy Gale and other literary characters try to save the bookshop from the unintentional destruction from two naughty mice and a well-known pickpocket.
Performances are Friday, November 8th and Saturday, Nov. 9th at 7:00 p.m. with a 1:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday November 10th. Tickets are $7 each and are sold at the door, or can be purchased in advance through gaft.ludus.com.
"Of the 14 children in the cast, only five have been on stage
before,” says director, Tory. “You would never know it though
as they all act like seasoned pros. They have all worked so hard,
with some taking on two roles and I can't wait for the audiences
to see them perform."
All performances will be held at our new GAFT Theatre build-
ing locatd at 524 East Cedar Av, Suite B, Gladwin, MI. Look for our LOGO in the window between Family Dollar and Mario’s Mexican Restaurant.
